As a member of the AMC Boston Chapter, you now have the opportunity to electronically receive the Charles River MUD monthly newsletter.

By arriving on the first day of the month, the online version will provide timely trip & activities listings and articles of interest. It also helps the chapter save on mailing/printing costs, and you'll help save a few trees! Both the printed and online versions are newly formatted in color on 8 1/2 x 11 pages. The new size will help reduce the use of tiny fonts, making the MUD easier to read as well.

Sign up for electronic distribution:
To receive The Charles River Mud electronically, you must first sign up at the AMC Member Center at http://outdoors.org/membercenter

 • If you previously registered at the Member Center, click the link "access the Member Center" on this page and select your Boston Chapter newsletter preference - electronic, paper or none.

 • If you have not previously registered at the Member Center yet, click the link "Member Validation" on this page to sign up and validate your AMC membership (you'll need to the four to six digit number located above your name in the address label of the Outdoors Magazine or Mud Newsletter). Once you've entered your AMC ID number, you'll go through a few more steps before selecting your E-Mud newsletter preference.

Switching from print to the online Mud may take 1-5 weeks (meaning you may get one print newsletter before the switch to online). The Mud will continue to make paper versions for all AMC members who request to receive it.
