H/B trip listings are now online! Click on the link above to view the most updated dayhikes, backpacks, cabin trips and more.
The H/B Committee uses a hike rating system for all trips, describing the mileage, pace, and terrain for each. The 3 character rating is placed in parentheses after each trip title, for example: Let's Hike to Ike (B3B). See our key to learn more about the ratings. Join us for a weekend trip to Harvard Cabin, located near Pinkham Notch, NH. The weekend provides both beginner and intermediate day hikes in the White Mountains, group meals, and a relaxed and rustic atmosphere. Because of its proximity to the White Mountain National Forest, the cabin makes an ideal base for day hikes into the Presidential Range, the Carter-Moriah Range, and northern portions of the WMNF.
Join us for a series of slideshows, potluck dinners and socializing with fellow AMCers and guests. Past slideshows include arctic sailing & mountaineering in Greenland, backpacking in New Zealand, trailwork across the US and Russian and hiking three long-distance trails in the US. All events take place at the AMC Auditorium, 4 Joy Street, Boston MA. Potlucks start at 6:30, slideshows at 7pm unless otherwise noted. Free admission to all. If you are interested in getting up-to-date information on when the next show is, join the Slideshow Series Email List by sending an email to AMCBostonSlideshows@gmail.com. See you at the next show! We will resume slideshows/potlucks in Sept 2010. Enjoy the summer and thanks all for attending the past events and making this a success! |
